๐Ÿ“ฅ Inbound MX Configuration โ€“ SpamProtect.me

Welcome to the official guide for configuring your domain to use the SpamProtect.me Ultra Secure Email Gateway. By pointing your domainโ€™s MX records to our servers, you ensure that all incoming messages are filtered for spam, phishing, malware, and scams before they ever reach your infrastructure.

This documentation is part of our Beta Program, and weโ€™re continuously improving our clusters and services.


๐Ÿ”ง What You Need Before You Start

Make sure you have access to your DNS provider's control panel. This can be your hosting provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap), or a dedicated DNS service like Cloudflare.

If you already use custom MX records, delete any existing ones before continuing.


๐Ÿ“ค MX Record Configuration

To use SpamProtect.me, you'll add two MX entries to your domain's DNS.

โ–ถ๏ธ First MX Record

This is your primary MX server.

  • Type: MX
  • Input: @
  • Content:
    stop01.spamprotect.me
  • Priority: 10

โ–ถ๏ธ Second MX Record

This is your secondary MX (failover) server.

  • Type: MX
  • Input: @
  • Content:
    stop02.spamprotect.me
  • Priority: 20

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ The secondary MX is only used if the primary is unreachable. Both entries are required for full redundancy.

โœ… How It Works

Once configured, here's what happens:

  1. All emails to your domain go through SpamProtect.meโ€™s filtering gateway.
  2. We scan them using multiple layers of protection:
    • URL reputation & real-time link scanning
    • Advanced spam detection (heuristics + machine learning)
    • Attachment & content malware scanning
    • Phishing & anomaly detection
  3. Clean emails are forwarded to your server.
  4. Suspicious emails go to quarantine (sandboxed).

๐Ÿ”’ Security & Compliance

  • No email content is stored permanently.
  • Quarantined emails are held securely for up to 14 days.
  • All logs are kept for a maximum of 30 days for auditing and troubleshooting.
  • All data processing is conducted under GDPR, LGPD, and CCPA standards.
